Dr. Patterson completed her Ed.D. in Educational Leadership through Baker University. She received her M.S. in Elementary Administration from Northwest Missouri State University.
Dr. Patterson began her educational career in 1998 as a fifth grade teacher at Edison Elementary in St. Joseph. She taught in the upper grades at Edison for six years, along with serving three of those years as the district's Social Studies Curriculum Coordinator.
Dr. Patterson served as principal at Edison Elementary for 5 years and has served as the principal of Skaith Elementary since 2011.
